Tasks & responsibilities

Plan and organise CMAM activities (treatment of 6-59 months children) at designated distribution sites in liaison with health facility Incharge and District Nutrition Officer.
Work closely with UNICEF and DoH s to ensure all aspects of the programme are understood and agreed and appropriate referrals take place to and from the CMAM and the programme is well integrated into the health systems.
Supervise the activities of the community groups (CNVs, MTMSG, PLW/Caregiver groups and TBAs)
Work closely with the health facility staff and LHWs to ensure all children are screened correctly at health facility/CMAM center and within targeted area, also to identity CBA in the intervention areas.
Ensure all criteria are respected and understood by the team and community groups, including admission, discharge and transfer to and from the CMAM.
Ensure comprehensive health checks and treatment according to the protocols.
Ensure correct clinical diagnosis at the time of assessment so that the patient receives appropriate treatment in the relavant program.
Timely identification of complications, non responder, and referrals to the SC and strong follow-up up till discharge for re-admission in OTP.
Review the forms completed by health facility staff and community groups to ensure completion, accuracy and coherence.
Ensure effective IYCF services are provided with Coordination of Health Staff as per National protocol guided in Pakistan IYCF strategy and ETC..
Follow and respect the current protocols specially drug administration i.e. for de-worming, malaria, EPI schedule and micronutrient mineral/ Vitamin A supplements, Ironic and F.A targeting children and PLW and CBA with proper documentation.
Add the activities linked to health and nutrition education in the protocols
Follow the treatment of the beneficiaries through home visits with support of community groups.
Participate in the follow-up of stock request and consumption.

Major Tasks
Communication

• Perform interpersonal communication (IPC) and counseling with families having pregnant women, children vulnerable to polio and susceptible to other communicable diseases • Accompany house-to-house team, facilitating entry in all houses allowing team to initiate queries on immunization and providing information on all • Involve in pre-round activities by making fixed site mobilization plan, informing beneficiaries, organize rallies, and conduct polio class, ensuring mosque announcements 1or 2 days before the round.
Relating and Networking
• Identify and seek support from influencers, school teachers, religious leaders, etc. in convincing resistant families to get child immunized with OPV. • Conduct meeting with neighborhood people, mothers, resistant family members, influencers, Lady Health Workers (LHWs) to dispel misconception about the vaccine and to encourage resistant families to immunize their children and influence others to do so. • Facilitate linkage and partnership with stake holders and front line service providers like LHWs, private practitioners or traditional healers in her high risk area (HRA) for identifying all likely non-acceptors and counsel and motivate them by addressing misconceptions and fear for oral polio vaccine (OPV).
Data Collection
• Conduct survey of high risk area(HRA) to list all eligible children under five years of age, pregnant women, and available resources like-school, madrassa, health post, etc. in that area. 3
• Update field book on regular basis with information of new-born, pregnant women, families leaving or coming to that area, immunization status especially in SIA and routine immunization.

•DDM Entry & DDM Analysis
Enters updates and verifies data into various.

• Prints and reviews data entered (e.g., telephone toll records, subscriber information, etc.) to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Creates and maintains data entry formats in order to enter and verify all customer input and application functions.

• Stores data in the data pool as a batch to ensure that records are accurate and that functions are keyed properly.

• Runs and distributes reports (
• Maintains detailed and accurate records (e.g., analytical cases, etc.) in order to accurately retrieve data.

• Trains employees on software programs.

• Remains current on job-specific procedures through job-related training courses in order to apply appropriate methodologies.

• Provides assistance in data control operations during staff shortages to communicate changes to employees and customers and ensure jobs are completed successfully.

• Sets up and submits new job information to the existing job list schedule and job calendar and notifies supervisor or program operations that it is ready
